New-generation communication technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and advanced communication systems, coupled with artificial intelligence (AI), are poised to reshape the landscape of life sciences and healthcare. These cutting-edge technologies are enabling the development of intelligent, connected healthcare systems that can deliver more personalized, efficient, and timely medical care. By integrating AI with IoT-based systems, we can achieve seamless real-time health monitoring, data-driven decision making, and highly efficient medical treatments.
The convergence of AI and communication technologies is unlocking new opportunities in both micro- and macro-scale applications, from nano-networks for precision medicine to large-scale health communication systems for optimizing patient care. These innovations enable healthcare professionals to monitor health metrics in real time, predict disease outcomes, and provide proactive treatment, ultimately leading to more accurate diagnoses and better patient outcomes. This special session aims to explore the role of these technologies in transforming healthcare and life sciences, focusing on how AI and next-generation communication systems can enhance medical research, improve healthcare delivery, and drive the future of personalized medicine.
